Multi faceted power

I think it is scary in a way to only see (or be able to see) things from one angle.
Unless you expand your “frame of reference,” you cannot even see things correctly. And if you keep looking at things from the same perspective, your solutions to problems will be limited. If you don’t broaden your perspective, you won’t be able to notice the slightest discrepancy, and by the time you do, it will be too late. By the time you notice it, it is too late, and you keep repeating the same mistakes without realizing it. In the end, nothing changes. Not changing is the same as putting more and more shackles on yourself.
So I think it is natural that people who can see things from multiple perspectives are strong. When a problem arises, those who try to solve it from only one perspective are missing something. On the other hand, those who have multiple viewpoints have more options. Strength is determined by how one makes use of those options. Strength is not simply having options. Strength is the ability to flexibly use those options.
When you think of strength, you may think of power and control. But my idea of “strength” is quite different from that. Rather, I believe that true strength lies in flexibility, compassion, and acceptance of other people’s viewpoints. Some people mistakenly believe that strength lies in pushing through one’s own opinions.
But in fact, I think that’s just a thought process. It’s just a weakness that keeps you in your shell. Strength is how much you can broaden your perspective and listen to other people’s opinions.
The ability to see things from multiple perspectives is also the ability to grasp the essence of the matter. For example, when a problem occurs, it is necessary to look at the problem from various angles in order to determine its true nature. There are many things that cannot be seen from just one angle. Capturing the essence means having the ability to look deeply without being distracted by superficial things.
It’s a deep understanding of things that allows us to be flexible to subsequent changes in the situation. Understanding creates flexibility. If you don’t have a good understanding, you won’t be able to adapt to changes.
Inability to react to change is, in effect, the same as “not being able to do anything”.
So don’t just look at things from one direction, but change the angle over and over again. Those who can do that are the ones who have true strength. He/she can flexibly adapt to any situation because his/her thinking is not fixed. And that person is able to ride the changes around him well.
